- Effective strategies: Learn practical techniques to prevent and respond to problem behaviors
- Positive reinforcement: Discover how to encourage positive behaviors and build stronger relationships
RUBI is an evidence-based program designed to empower parents of children with developmental differences or disabilities. Through a series of group sessions, parents learn practical strategies to address challenging behaviors, promote positive outcomes, and improve their child’s quality of life. This group format provides a supportive community for parents to connect with others facing similar challenges and learn from shared experiences.
Challenging behaviors that can be addressed include, but are not limited to: hitting or kicking, whining, yelling or screaming, throwing objects, running away, self-injurious behaviors (e.g., head-banging), not listening to or refusing commands, and difficulty with transitions or routines.
